Pretoria, 4 June 2018. The antique and collectables market on Youth Day at the Voortrekker Monument takes place on Saturday, 16 June from 09:00 to 15:00 on the roof of the large amphitheatre at the Voortrekker Monument. The entrance fee is R30 per car. Please note that visitors to the market will not be allowed access to the site before 07:00.
The Monument is currently in the process of replacing the roof over this facility bit by bit. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and ask visitors to please be patient during this process.
When the roof is completed the market will definitely be the best of its kind in the country. Unfortunately stalls are not easy to acquire. In this regard there will be three new traders at the fair, one of which sells beautiful porcelain. Currently, there are 174 stalls at the market selling a huge variety of goods such as old enamelware, coins, beautiful porcelain, Dinky Toys, dining services, knives, jewellery, glassware and a whole lot more. An ATM is available on every market.
There are several food stalls as well as a licensed restaurant. There is also dedicated parking for people with wheelchairs. Visitors should please leave their dogs and other pets at home as the Monument is situated in a nature reserve and they are forbidden on site. Enquiries concerning the antique market may be directed to Geraldine Paulsen at 012 326 6770 or on firstname.lastname@example.org.
