SHOPS

KultuurKafee

Our online store offers a selection of authentic South African flavours, handmade products and gifts that capture the heart of our heritage. From fragrant boeretroos and farm delicacies to unique gift items – here you will find something special.

De Afrikander Handelshuis

De Afrikander Handelshuis is the borderless trading home for our community. Stories are not only passed on through people, but also through products …

The name of De Afrikander Handelshuis comes from the words of the first Afrikaner, Hendrik Biebouw, in 1707: “Ik ben een Afrikander”. Our goal is for all communities to feel at home in a commercial house and to associate it with reliability.

In 2017, the approximately 160m2 store was opened at the Voortrekker Monument, where De Afrikander Handelshuis suddenly began serving not only the local market, but also foreign tourists. In 2021, Handelshuis opened a smaller concept store in a museum at the Voortrekker Monument.

The Voriemôl

The Voortrekkers’ own Afrikaans culture shop in Pretoria. Here you will receive excellent service from our caring staff.

The first Voortrekker shop (depot) was started in 1948 in the garage of the Provincial Secretary, Uncle Badie Badenhorst. During the Second World War, from 1939 to 1945, it was not easy to obtain uniforms from overseas. The Executive then decided that Die Voortrekkers should take responsibility for providing clothing to its members, especially because prices in South Africa were cheaper. Over time, the provision of Voortrekker clothing grew into a full-time business.

Today we boast the Voriemôl, which stands out as your culture shop. We meet all of the Voortrekkers’ various needs in terms of badges, clothing and camping supplies.

We are also a one-stop gift shop where you will find cool products, ranging from table decorations to ketties. Feel free to buy online; our delivery services are available internationally.
