Pretoria, 12 March 2019. The Voortrekker Monument’s first antique and collectables market for 2019 will take place on Thursday, 21 March from 09:00 to 15:00 on the roof of the large amphitheatre. The entrance fee is R30 per car. Please note that visitors to the market will not be allowed access to the site before 07:00. This year visitors can buy tickets in advance from iTickets at: https://itickets.co.za/register/new/420634. Remember a service fee will be charged.
The market, which is now in its thirteenth year, is thought to be the best of its kind in the country and stalls are nearly impossible to obtain. This is because traders do not give up their stands easily. However, this year we have two new traders with a variety of beautiful antiques and collectables. There are currently 174 stalls at the market. Visitors can find paintings, coins, porcelain, Dinky Toys, tableware, knives, jewellery, glassware and a whole lot more at this market.
We have several food stalls as well as a licensed restaurant at the market. There is also dedicated parking for people with wheelchairs. Visitors should please leave their pets at home as the Monument is situated in a nature reserve and we are subject to the rules as set out by nature conservation. Enquiries concerning the antique market may be directed to Geraldine Paulsen at 012 326 6770 or on firstname.lastname@example.org. Please remember all stalls are already fully booked.
