Pretoria, 4 June 2019. This year Youth Day falls on a Sunday and therefore the Voortrekker Monument’s Antique & Collectables Fair will take place on Monday, 17 June. The market is from 09:00 to 15:00 on the roof of the large amphitheatre. The entrance fee is R30 per car and we request that you have the amount handy for the gate. Please note that due to security reasons, visitors to the market will not be allowed access to the site before 07:00.
Unfortunately stalls are not easy to acquire. Traders do not let go of their stalls easily. In this regard, prospective traders should keep an eye on our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/VTM1AntiqueFair.Antiekmark/. If stalls are available they will be advertised there. Prospective traders also have to complete a selection process. We are lucky to once again have a new trader selling beautiful brass from Belgium. Currently, there are 173 stalls at the market selling a huge variety of antiques and collectables.
We have several food stalls as well as a licensed restaurant. There is also a dedicated parking area for people with wheelchairs. Visitors should please leave their dogs and other pets at home as the Monument is situated in a nature reserve and pets are forbidden on the site. Enquiries concerning the antique market may be directed to Geraldine Paulsen at 012 326 6770 or on firstname.lastname@example.org. Please remember that the market is fully booked, this also applies to the food stalls.
